Beautiful Births

A Doula is a trained and experienced labor companion who provides the mother and her partner with continuous emotional support, physical comfort, and assistance in obtaining information before, during, and just after childbirth.

Once you have decided on me as your Doula I will meet with you 2-3 times before the birth. During these meetings we talk about your ideal birth and strategies to make that a reality. We will practice relaxation techniques, create a birth plan, talk over any fears and how we can work through them, and make sure you are aware of what to expect. You will then call me when you go into labor and I will be there with you until the baby is well established in breast-feeding, if that's that route you choose. After the baby is born we will have a few follow up meetings to talk over the birth experience and any problems or questions you may have during the postpartum period. I usually charge $600 and I am more than willing to work with each families individual financial needs. Please don't let money stand in the way. Every women deserves to have the birth they desire.
